C4I Subject Matter Expert

Job Description:

Expertise and experience in developing command and control systems. Expertise in planning and integrating command and control systems along with various segments of large system acquisitions. Recommend system and technology performance tradeoffs and support the development of a large program acquisition strategy. Experience should include some or all of the following:

  • Evaluation of protected and secure ground and satellite communications systems, networks, and computers.
  • Interaction with military program leaders and coordination with developers of major system segments.
  • Analysis of various command and control products or equipment specifications and performance requirements.
  • Risk assessment of command and control systems and generation of risk mitigation plans and strategies.
  • Management of a team of engineers, acquisition professionals, and subject matter experts in developing system requirements and analyzing system interfaces.
  • Providing leadership for junior employees, measure success in terms of client satisfaction, and help the client to manage systems engineering.

 

Qualifications

Functional/Industry Knowledge:

 

  • 10+ years of experience with command and control required 
  • Experience with large program systems engineering and integration required
  • Experience with supporting and developing computer networks required
  • Experience with telecommunications networks  
  • Experience with major DoD systems acquisition processes and development issues
  • Knowledge of C4I systems
  • Experience with FECs, network protocols, traffic analysis, and the use of network and communications link analyzers
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal and team leadership skills required

 

 

Education/Certifications or equivalent required:

MA or MS degree in a related field
