Network Security Engineer
Location: Dayton, OH Status: Full-time Salary: Negotiable Close Date: Open Job Description: Key tasks include: o Provide research and analytical support on information security trends, standards, concepts and solutions. o Provides network engineering solutions of state-of-the-art technologies by conducting reverse engineering of new vulnerabilities and malicious code in order to build counter attack signatures against known and unknown threats. o Perform in-depth forensic analysis of compromised systems to include identification of malicious code, methods of compromise and data extraction techniques. o Tracks trends and performs network nodal analysis on infrastructure to determine security gaps and network configuration deficiencies. o Research various open source hacker techniques and vulnerability exploit forums. o Provide consolidated executive summaries and detailed analysis technical briefings Education and Experience: o Minimum 5 years concentrated experience in network vulnerability analysis, network engineering, and the applications of internet protocol (IP) technology required. o Experience in ethical hacking strongly desired. Comprehensive understanding of hacker techniques, procedures, tools, and software strongly desired. o Education: Undergraduate degree in computer science or related information assurance/information vulnerability field required. o CISSP certification strongly desired. o Significant relevant and applicable experience may be substituted for degree requirement. o Experienced with reverse engineering tools (e.g. OllyDbg, SoftICE, IDAPRO, etc.) o Experienced with x86 assembly language o Substantial development experience in C, C++ o Strong scripting skills (e.g. PERL, shell scripting) o Knowledge of network and web related protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols) o Strong written and verbal communication skills Contact Information: Job Code: 2070724-03 E-mail: jrieman@rri-usa.org Website: www.rri-usa.org |
