Responsibilities:

• Involved in all aspects of the software design cycle, including designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and maintaining complex scientific application software.
• Present work at internal and external review meetings
• Help develop computer-based training tools.

 Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field required; Master's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Unix, C++, Java, QT, Fortran 90/95, Perl, Python, Unix scripting.
• Object-oriented software design using UML.
•  Must be eligible for U.S. government security clearance; current SSBI highly desirable.
•  Scientific/engineering/strong mathematical background. 
•  Strong analytical, organizational, verbal and written skills.
•  Experience with GUI development, high-performance computing, test-driven development.
