Understanding AGI Collections Management
Riverside Research Institute (RRI) offers this collection management
course with the following goals in mind:
- Introduce those with a basic knowledge of remote sensing to
advanced topics in such techniques
- Offer well-rounded insight into the capabilities
of national, civil, and commercial Advanced Geospatial
Intelligence (AGI) systems
- Provide a greater awareness of collection
management throughout the intelligence cycle
- Instill enthusiasm in this exciting subject and encourage
future specialists
Who should attend?
Engineers, program managers, operators and other intelligence
community professionals seeking an understanding of AGI
across the intelligence cycle.
What students will learn
Students will be introduced to four areas of AGI: Synthetic Aperture
Radar, Thermal Infrared, Multi- and Hyper-Spectral, and Overhead
Persistent Infrared (OPIR) techniques. For each technique the
course provides:
- A phenomenology review detail on current and future
capabilities and applications
- A summary of national, civil and commercial sources
- An outline of available products and their respective time lines
- An overview of the AGI technique's intelligence cycle
With a greater awareness of AGI, graduates are able to address current
problems using a wider array of techniques and sources.
